Granite is a strong and sturdy stone that does very well in our climate. Granular in texture, it comes in several different color families, and is quarried all over the United States and many countries abroad. Yellow-toned granite is often mined in China. It pairs well with brick and natural stone walls, harmonizes well with wood furnishings and gives a formal look while retaining an earthy warmth.
